This blog is intended to reflect upon what I have learnt in regards to ‘Teaching in a Digital World’. I have elected three topics for reflection: Transmedia, Digital Convergence and Participation and the Digital Divide.

This unit has drastically altered the way I would teach students. I was technophobic at the beginning of the semester. After an enlightenment on how students can utilise digital technologies and digital literacies to his/her own benefit I would now be excited to incorporate the digital world into my future classroom. Prensky (2008) speaks of students being bored in class and I can see that embracing the students interests, new digital technologies, I will be able to entertain the students by creating lessons that are meaningful to them.
